AUT Mythic Adaptation Guide
To obtain the Mythic Adaptation trait in A Universal Time, you must reach Ascension Rank 10 with an ability. Once you’ve achieved this, you’ll have a chance to roll for Mythic traits, including Adaptation, but the odds of getting a Mythic trait are beyond exceptionally low. You cannot roll for Mythical traits if you are not Ascension Rank 10.
What Does Mythic Adaption Do in AUT?
Mythic Adapation causes you to adapt to attacks over time and ultimately grow resistant to them. So basically, it is what the new Mahoraga Raid Boss has, but to a lesser effect. Here’s the description:
- You will adapt to attacks done to you and grow resistant to them over time (7.5% added resistance per attack, up to 75% total resistance per attack, 1.5-second cooldown per adaptation)
Mythic Trait Rolls and Pity in A Universal Time
Once you reach Ascension Rank 10, you can start rolling for the Mythic Adaptation trait.
- Mythic Trait Chance
- Each roll at Ascension Rank 10 has a 0.1% chance of yielding any Mythic trait. Since there are five possible Mythic traits, your chance of getting Adaptation specifically is about 1 in 500 per roll.
- Trait Pity
- Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get it right away! The “Trait Pity” system increases the likelihood of rarer traits appearing with each roll. After a certain number of unsuccessful attempts, the chance of receiving a higher rarity trait increases significantly.
- The pity caps out at 100, meaning after 100 tries, the next one will be Legendary or Mythic, greatly increasing your odds.
Ascending Abilities in AUT
Ascensions are key to unlocking Mythic Adaptation.
- What are Ascensions?
- Ascending an ability is like leveling it up to a new tier. Each ascension requires reaching level 200 with the ability. While ascending resets the ability’s level back to 0, it increases the potential rarity of its traits.
- Trait Rarity: The rarity of traits you can obtain is directly tied to your ascension rank:
- Ascension Rank 5: Unlocks Legendary traits.
- Ascension Rank 10: Unlocks Mythic traits, including Adaptation.
Farming for the Adaptation Trait in A Universal Time
Reaching Ascension Rank 10 requires efficient XP farming. Here are some tips to accelerate the grind:
- Utilize XP Boosts
- Keep an eye out for XP boost events or purchase game passes to multiply your experience gain. The more XP per kill, the faster you’ll ascend. Combining different XP boosts can stack their effects for even greater gains.
- Busoshoku Haki and Powerful Moves:
- Equip Busoshoku Haki as a sub-power and max it out to Stage 5. This, combined with powerful offensive moves like World Cutting Slash, drastically speeds up farming. Busoshoku Haki scales incredibly well and can wipe out groups of enemies quickly, especially when combined with area-of-effect attacks.
- Party Members and Strategic Locations:
- Party up with other players to increase enemy spawns and share the rewards. Farming in areas densely populated with curses can further maximize your XP per minute. Look for locations where enemies spawn quickly and group together for efficient clearing.
